Police shut down all lanes in a NJ highway as they investigated the cause of a pedestrian strike that left one person seriously injured in Gloucester Township.
According to preliminary reports, the overnight incident happened on NJ-168 near Evesham Road before 9:30 p.m.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found the victim lying on the ground suffering severe injuries after a vehicle struck them at that location according to reports.
EMS transported the unidentified person to an area hospital where doctors began treating their injuries.
The driver of the car reportedly stayed at the scene.
