Police in Newark are investgiating a pedestrian strike that left a person injured in the city's South Ward Monday evening.
According to police, the incident happened in the vicinity of South 13th Street and Avon Avenue at approximately 8:17 p.m.
Emergency responders arrived and found an adult male suffering severe injuries after a car struck him at that location. According to reports, the victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment.
