Serious Injuries for Man who Walked into Train While Texting in Pennsauken

There are serious injuries reported for a man who reportedly walked into a light rail train in Pennsauken this evening.

According to preliminary reprorts, emergency responders rushed to the area of River Road and North 36th Street at around 6 p.m. for reports of a person struck by a train at that location.

Rescue crews arrived to find the middle-aged man unconscious, suffering severe facial injuries reports said.

EMS rushed the man to Cooper Hospital in Camden in serious condition.

The man reportedly struck the rear of the train while walking and looking down at his phone.

Train service was temporarily suspended for the investigation.
