Reports of a person seriously assaulted sent police to the 40's block of Van Buren Street at around 3 a.m.
Arriving units found the victim bleeding heavily after being attacked by several male suspects.
The victim told police that three men approached and said very little before going on the attack.
EMS transported to St. Josephs Hospital in Paterson suffering non-life threatening head injuries.
Passaic Police are searching for the suspects.
