Separate Plainfield Investigations Yield Several Arrests for Drugs, Weapons

Plainfield Police Division recovered 3 loaded guns, drugs, 2 vehicles, money and over a half dozen arrests during 2 separate investigations this weekend authorities said.

According to police, on Saturday, July 23rd, the Plainfield Police Division's Narcotics Unit conducted an investigation in the tens block of Clinton Avenue.

As result, a loaded .32 cal. handgun, ¼ oz. of suspected cocaine, 146 bags of suspected cocaine, a quantity of marijuana, $4700.00 US currency and two vehicles were seized.

Police took Donte Thompson, 26, from Plainfield in custody and charged him with unlawful lossession of a handgun, possession of a handgun during a drug scheme, and various other drug offenses authorities said.

Police said Brian Cabbell, 30, and Mohmen Alahwol, 22, both from Plainfield were also charged with various drug offenses.

On Sunday, July 24th, police said the Narcotics Unit conducted an investigation at 1003 Park Avenue, which resulted in four arrests.

A quantity of marijuana packaged for distribution totaling about 135 grams, 602 generic Zanax pills, a sheet of suspected “LSD”, two handguns, a 9mm pistol with a high capacity magazine fully loaded with 21 rounds and a loaded 357 revolver, and assorted narcotics packaging materials were seized as evidence according to authorities.

Pierre Foxworth, 19, Nickoy Senior, 21, and Zarif Harden, 20, all from Plainfield were charged with unlawful possessionof a handgun, possession of a handgun during a drug scheme and various drug offenses. Zakiel Saxton, 20, of Plainfield was charged with various drug offenses authorities said.
