Police in Elizabeth are looking into a robbery that reportedly left a senior woman suffering injuries in Elizabeth on Sunday night.
According to preliminary reports, Elizabeth Police were called to the 500 block of 1st Avenue to investigate reports of a robbery that occurred before 11 p.m.
Units arriving at the scene notified EMS after finding a female victim suffering non-life threatening at that location.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the woman was assaulted during an apparent robbery where the perpetrator attacked the senior woman.
Police have not released the extent of the woman's injuries and the suspect remains at-large.
