Passaic County authorities are looking into a crash that killed a senior woman on Wednesday morning.
According to a statement released by authorities, the incident happened at approximately 8:30 a.m. where police responded to a single vehicle, single occupant crash in the area of Hamburg Turnpike and Valley Road.
Police say Ms. Mei-Lien Young, 82 years old, from Wayne, New Jersey was traveling in her 2009 Toyota Camry in that area when she lost control of the vehicle.
According to police, no other vehicle or persons was involved in the crash.
EMS rushed Ms. Young to Saint Joseph’s University Hospital in Paterson, where she succumbed to her injuries at approximately 3:22 p.m.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
