Authorities in Butler are looking into the cause of a fire that killed a senior couple in town on Tuesday evening.
Firefighters rushed to 13 Myrtle Avenue after a house went up in flames just before 5 p.m.
According to police Mrs. Anna Ryczek, 72, and her 74-year-old husband Richard Ryczek was transported by a medical helicopter to the hospital but died of his injuries according to police.
Firefighters placed the blaze under control at around 6:10 p.m.
Two firefighters were treated for non life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
