Authorities say a subsequent investigation by Seaside Heights PD, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CIU found that a Black Dodge Ram travelled northbound on Central Avenue where it approached the intersection of Sheridan Avenue.

Police say as the Black Dodge Ram exited the intersection the vehicle struck pedestrian, Ms. Danielle Cangelosi, 25, of Kingston, NY, who was walking eastbound on Sheridan Avenue.

Police say Cangelosi was thrown approximately 20 feet north on Central Avenue by the impact.

The Black Dodge Ram then left the scene continuing northbound on Central Avenue. As a result, Cangelosi was transported to Community Medical Center for her injuries according to police.

The only further description regarding the Black Dodge Ram is a partial NJ license plate with the letters “TJ” police said.
