Police arrested four people las week after serving a search warrant at a suspected heroin mill in the city's West Ward.
On Thursday (May 28), officers served a search warrant on the 40's block of West Kinney Street, where officers seized 298 decks of heroin along with other narcotics, $1,259 in cash, a 9-millimeter handgun and two high-capacity magazines.
The individuals arrested were identified as Matthew Dixon, 26, Denzel Phillips, 20, Marquise Rogers, 21, and Tonya Freeman, 20, inside various rooms in the apartment.
All four were charged with various offenses including possession of an illegal handgun, narcotics manufacturing and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Rogers, Phillips, and Dixon are all being being held on $500,000 bail at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark.
Freeman is being held on $250,000 bail.
