Search Underway for Missing Autistic Newark Man UPDATE: Found Safe

Police in Newark requests the public’s help in locating Mr. Anthony Parejo, 42, of Newark, who was reported missing today.

Police said Mr. Parejo, who has been diagnosed with autism, was last seen in the 200 block of Keer Avenue at 11 a.m.

According to police, his family reports that Mr. Parejo’s mental condition is poor and that he may be in the downtown Newark area or near Newark Penn Station.

While detectives are actively searching for Mr. Parejo, they seek the public’s help in quickly locating him so he can be reunited with his family.

He is described as 5’3” to 5’4” tall and between 140 lbs. and 160 lbs. He has a light brown complexion, gray and white hair and brown eyes.
