Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is calling on the community to assist in locating 10-year-old Ayaan Khan, who was reported missing on Tuesday, April 16. Ayaan, who has a history of running away, was last spotted in the 200 block of Sussex Avenue in Newark.
Described as 4’6” tall and weighing 70 pounds, Ayaan was last seen wearing a navy blue shirt and khaki-colored pants.
The urgency of the situation is underscored by his young age and the circumstances of his disappearance.
Director Fragé is urging anyone with information about Ayaan's whereabouts to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
The public is assured that all tips provided to Crime Stoppers will remain confidential and may also be eligible for a reward, facilitating a community-driven effort to safely locate Ayaan.
