RWJBarnabas Health Facilities Earn High Honors in U.S. News' Maternity Care Rankings

In a testament to their commitment to exceptional maternity care, four RWJBarnabas Health facilities have been acknowledged by U.S. News & World Report in their prestigious 2023-2024 Best Hospitals for Maternity Care rankings.

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset have all received the coveted "High Performing" designation in maternity care, underlining their dedication to expectant mothers and their families.

The Best Hospitals for Maternity Care evaluation, an annual assessment, aids expectant parents in making informed decisions about where to receive maternity care that aligns with their family's needs.

AdU.S. News evaluated hospitals across the nation providing labor and delivery services, with only a select few meeting the rigorous criteria for the high-performing designation. Among these hospitals, C-section rates were 26% lower, and newborn complication rates were 37% lower than those at unrecognized hospitals.
