Roselle Man Charged with Killing Newark Man

A man being sought by police has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in Roselle this weekend, acting Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park announced Sunday.

Nathaniel Price, 25, of Roselle is charged with murder and related weapons offenses in connection with the death of 21-year-old Tyquan Johnson of Newark.

Authorities said shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Roselle Police Department units rushed to the 1000 block of Rivington Street to find Johnson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was transported to University Hospital in Newark, where he was pronounced dead later in the day.

This matter is now under joint investigation by the Union County Homicide Task Force, Roselle Police Department, Union County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit, and Union County Police Department Ballistics Unit.
