Police in newark are investigating a robbery that resulted in the physical attack of a man that occurred in Newark's South Ward Saturday evening.
Police were called to the vicinity of Dayton and Foster at approximately 9:25 p.m. to investigate reports of an injured person.
Units arriving at the scene found a severely beaten male victim who reported to police that suspects approached him and robbed of personal possessions.
The victim said during the robbery, the suspects began to beat him across all over his body until he almost went unconscious.
The suspects did not produce any weapons during the attack according to reports.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital where doctors treated serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects remain at-large.
