Reward Money Increases in Fatal Shooting of Franklin Township Man

Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson and Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor are again requesting the public’s assistance in the investigation into the homicide of David D. Anderson, 30 of Henry Street, Franklin Township.

Crime Stoppers of Somerset County, Inc. has increased the reward money to up to $3500 to anyone with information leading to the arrest and indictment of the individual or individuals responsible for the homicide of David D. Anderson.

Prosecutor Robertson stated that on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a 9-1-1 call was received by Franklin Township Police reporting that one person, later identified as David D. Anderson, was shot multiple times in the area of 94 Matilda Avenue in Franklin Township. 

Further information revealed that the shooting, which resulted in the death of Anderson, occurred during a large gathering at Naaman Williams Park.

Detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Franklin Township Police Department are continuing to investigate the homicide.
