The Park Avenue Christian Church’s 1st Annual FunFest was held at the corner of Park Avenue and North 17th Street where Reverend Harriet Wallace is the Pastor.

Church officials say the free event included food, a video game truck, a bouncy house, health screenings from East Orange General Hospital, a WIC table for information and signups, and a classic car show that featured approximately 20 cars.
Neighbors in the community and church members listened to a great mix of gospel, classic R&B and Jersey club music officials said.
According to Reverend Wallace, Park Avenue Christian Church plans to host this event yearly to show that fellowship is not only a priority in the church. God's message of love must be displayed in the community with our East Orange neighbors.
"Our youth in East Orange and New Jersey are seeking ways to find love so, we have to leave the constraints of the church to find them. If they are not coming into the church, it is our duties to reach them in the community and show them our loving light," Reverend Wallace said.
