Recent discoveries of two deer and a cat found dead on streets in Kenilworth have frightened residents concerned for the well-being of their pets.
A female resident contacted police after she found a dead cat on Sunday near her home then located two dead deer early this morning on Michigan Avenue.
Other residents who also noticed the deer said they alerted local police, town officials, and SPCA.
Officials could not confirm if the animals suffered from poisoning.
According to county officials, Union County Police, Kenilworth Police, and State Wildlife have been contacted and are investigating.
