Newark Police offcials are investigating a reported carjacking that occurred in a section of Newark's North Ward Sunday night.
The incident was reported at approximately 8:50 p.m. in the vicinity of Passaic and Clark streets.
Police say the victim reported that a male armed with a knife took their 2009 Nissan Rouge then sped away from the scene.
North Ward officers canvassed the scene and found the unoccupied vehicle at an undisclosed location on Mc Carter Highway.
There were no physical injuries reported.
