An investigation is underway in Woodbridge after a child was rushed to a hospital suffering a medical condition earlier this evening resulting in the child dying.
According to an initial investigation, EMS rushed to what appeared to be a day care center located in the 200 block of Middlessex Avenue a little before 5 p.m. on reports of a male child (around the age 4-months-old) unconscious and unresponsive at that location.
Arriving EMS units arrived to the scene and reportedly located the infant in full cardiac arrest.
According to reports, the child was rushed to JFK Medical Center where the boy was pronounced dead shortly after arriving to the hospital.
It is not immediately known if the facility was approved or licensed by the State of New Jersey.
