A Refreshing Sunday Awaits Before Summer Heat Returns This Week

New Jersey

By: Richard L. Smith

The better half of the weekend has arrived, and Mother Nature is giving us a beautiful Sunday to enjoy.

After Saturday’s gloomy skies, periods of rain, and damp conditions across much of North Jersey, today brings a refreshing change.

We’re waking up to a comfortable 69 degrees in downtown Newark, with lower humidity and plenty of sunshine on the way.

If you’re heading out to worship this morning or planning time with family and friends, you’ll have near-perfect weather.

Enjoy it while you can—temperatures will begin climbing Monday, with the potential for another stretch of hot weather starting Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 85 degrees. Winds will be light early before becoming southeast at 5 to 7 mph during the afternoon.

Tonight will remain pleasant, with mostly clear skies and a low around 66 degrees. Light south winds will become calm by the evening.

Have a blessed Sunday, New Jersey, and make the most of this beautiful summer day!
