Quick Response by Firefighters Prevents Major Structure Damage in Newark Ironbound Restaurant Fire

Residents in Newark's Ironbound section witnessed a rapid and effective response from firefighters as they battled a swiftly spreading fire that destroyed a local restaurant.

The incident occurred shortly before 10:40 a.m. at 60 Pulaski Street, across from East Side High School.

Firefight quickly arrived on the scene and took immediate action to contain and extinguish the blaze.

The fire was concentrated in a one-story brick-framed establishment known as 'My Boo Sushi' restaurant.

The intensity of the flames led to the complete loss of the store.

Remarkably, no injuries were reported after crews battled the flames efficiently, gaining control of the fire in just under an hour. 

The Newark Health Department was at the scene to assess the fire's aftermath. Their evaluation will likely provide valuable insights into the future steps that need to be taken regarding the damaged property.
