Q4 Big Dream vs. Execution

New Jersey

By: O.L./Sway Buckley

As we're nearing the end of the year, many marriedpreneurs are assessing where they are in relation to their annual targets.

You're not alone if you're feeling frustrated at where you're not.

Research from the University of Scranton shows that.

Q4 MasterclassOnly 8% of people fulfill their New Year's resolutions. Goals need focus and direction. You can't just blindly set a goal and hope for the best. Nor can you merely hope they will cause your success.

Dreaming BIG is often the easy part. But without the daily execution, they will remain a dream. In our experience of helping marriedpreneur couples fulfill their dreams, we've seen a few common misconceptions that have kept them stuck.

Team JasperWe'll list them below so you can use this as a litmus in your legacy-building journey (and bypass what has trapped so many others because they didn't know):

  • Unclear Goal: Fuzzy targets don't get hit. Without having a clear target, one can't expect to hit it.
  • Not having the same goal: As a marriedpreneur couple, the secret sauce is not chasing individual goals but combining your goals to become ONE goal. When all hands are on deck, the momentum increases, and the likelihood of success doubles because you're BOTH on the same job.
  • Underestimating What It Takes: We all know the honeymoon phase is the best feeling, but the real work begins when that phase is over. It's easy to put the work in when you're 'in love' with the idea of the goal- but that's where most drop off. If you keep going, you'll win because you've endured the growth phase.
  • You're not the exception: Entrepreneurship can be a lonely place. Thinking that no one else understands the woes of this path isn't true. But feeling that way can slow you down and make you second-guess why you started in the first place.

These examples are often overlooked when it comes to falling the truth.
