Police are on the scene of a crash that occurred a short time ago in the city's downtown.
Cops followed a vehicle into the area that refused to stop for traffic violations at around 4:15 a.m.
The vehicle (that was occupied by at least one person) sped into the downtown area coming to a crashing halt into a civilian vehicle on Washington Street and Brandford Place.
The suspect then attempted to flee the scene with units on foot nearby. Officers apprehended the suspect a short distance away and detained a second person at the scene.
A search of the vehicle had officers reportedly locate two weapons and drugs.
There are minor injuries at the scene for the occupant of the civilian vehicle.
