Public’s Assistance Sought in Mid May Homicide in Franklin Township

FRANKLIN TWP., N.J. – Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson, Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor, and Franklin Township Chief of Police Richard Grammar are requesting the public’s assistance in the investigation into the homicide of David D. Anderson, 30 of Henry Street, Franklin Township.

Officials say Crime Stoppers of Somerset County, Inc. is offering reward money of up to $2500 to anyone with information leading to the arrest and indictment of the individual or individuals responsible for the homicide of David D. Anderson.

Prosecutor Robertson stated that on Saturday, May 18th at approximately 11:00 p.m., a 9-1-1 call was received by Franklin Township Police reporting that one person, later identified as David D. Anderson, was shot multiple times in the area of 94 Matilda Avenue in Franklin Township, New Jersey.

Officials say further information revealed that the shooting, which resulted in the death of Anderson, occurred during a large gathering at Naaman Williams Park. Detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Franklin Township Police Department are continuing to investigate the homicide.
