The family of Ali Harb, 41, wrote on their GoFundMe page: “My Brother, a caring, loving, big hearted gentleman lost his life on April 4th at the Age of 41. He was a West New York lifer over 35+ years and a graduate of Memorial High School,” Moses Harb, the brother of Ali Harb, wrote on a GoFundMe page.

“Everyone knew him and liked him for his generosity, kindness and funny personality. He will truly be missed. He leaves behind two young admirable sons and wife. All proceeds will go to his Funeral Costs to help his family in these tough times. Anything is appreciated. Thank you.”

Although the page only went up about an hour ago, the page has already seen $1,735 in donations. The overall goal is $20,000.

Recovery crews pulled Harb of West New York and Juan Bustamonte, 35, of Union City from the water at around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The investigation is being handled by the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
