About 2000 homes and businesses suffered a loss of power in Irvington Township on Sunday morning.
The early morning outage happened on or around streets in the areas of August Street, Nye Avenue, Clinton Avenue and Springfield Avenue at approximately 6 a.m.
Utility crews arrived in the area and began to search for the problem which is believed to be a blown transformer.
According to PSEG, the situation is expected to be fixed on or before 10:15 a.m.
