Prudential Center Hosting Voter Registration Event for All New Jersey Residents

September 22 is National Voter Registration Day and the Prudential Center is trying to help all New Jersey Residents get registered before the November Election.

The Prudential Center and the New Jersey Devils Hockey Team are holding a [**Voter Registration Event**](https://prucenter.com/vote#?utm_source=pru_email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2020+go+vote&utm_content=announcement%0Ahttps://www.prucenter.com/news/prucenter-unveils-go-vote-jersey-program?utm_source=pru_email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2020+go+vote&utm_content=announcement), today, September 22 at Championship Plaza on the corner of Mulberry and Edison streets in Newark, from 2-4 p.m.

New Jersey residents will be able to register to vote and there will also be Census staff there to assist anyone who hasn't already filled out their census questionnaire.

Those who are unsure of their registration status can check it on the [**New Jersey Division of Elections website**](https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/registration-check).

For those who don't want to register to vote in-person, New Jersey has an online registration option that can be accessed [**HERE**](https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/register).

Important voting deadlines to remember are:

- October 13: The final day to register in time to vote in the 2020 election

- October 27: The final day to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot for the 2020 election

- November 3: Election Day and the final day for the county boards to receive mail-in ballots

**Please note:** Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, New Jersey is automatically mailing ballots to all registered voters. Polls will be open for in-person voting on November 3 from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. Residents are reminded that they may not vote both in-person and by mail in the same election.
