Authorities reported property damage at the scene of a shooting in Newark's Central Ward Sunday night.
At approximately 9:10 p.m., a ShotSpotter device activated and alerted police of a shooting in the 500 block of Washington Street.
Several officers arrived at the scene and found several shell casings on the ground, but after cops searched the area, no victims were located.
One unoccupied vehicle was damaged after stray bullets struck the car at that location.
Newark Police Shooting Response Team responded to assist in the investigation.
No arrests have been reported.
