There are some names that deserve respect, no matter where you stand, and for me, Robert Mueller is one of them.

Now, he wasn’t born or raised here in New Jersey, but his time at Princeton University makes him definitely apart of our Garden State story.
He graduated in 1966 and played lacrosse there, and that right there means something to me.
As someone who has spent years on the court as a New Jersey basketball official, I’ve seen firsthand the level of discipline, toughness, and heart that athletes in this state bring every single day.
There’s NOTHING like New Jersey athletics; the grind, the pride, the work ethic. And when I look at Mueller’s time at Princeton, I see that same kind of foundation.
Being a student-athlete is no small task. It takes focus, sacrifice, and a mindset that pushes you to be better every day. That kind of tenacity doesn’t just stay on the field—it carries into life.
And that’s what I believe we saw in Mueller.
His years of service, especially leading the Federal Bureau of Investigation, showed a level of commitment to this country that can’t be ignored.
Whether people agree with every decision or not, you can’t overlook the discipline, structure, and sense of duty that defined his career.
For me, this isn’t about politics—it’s about respect.
Respect for someone who walked through New Jersey, competed here, learned here, and carried that experience into a lifetime of service.
Yup, respect for the athlete, the leader, and the public servant.
New Jersey produces some of the toughest, most dedicated individuals you’ll find anywhere, and while Mueller may not be from here, a part of him was shaped here.
And that alone deserves to be recognized.
Former FBI Director Robert Mueller has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of service, discipline, and leadership that impacted the entire nation.
At RLS Media, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and all those across the country who were touched by his decades of public service.
Mueller’s commitment to protecting the United States and upholding the law will be remembered as part of his lasting contribution to this nation.
