The Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $1 billion after no one matched all the winning numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing.
The cash value now stands at roughly $461.3 million, and with excitement building nationwide, the prize is expected to rise even higher before Saturday.
New Jersey remained in the spotlight after one of the three $1 million Match 5 tickets was sold here, keeping the state firmly in the running as the jackpot climbs into historic territory.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were 10, 29, 69, 16, 33, and the Powerball was 22. The previous jackpot was valued at $935.5 million.
With the prize now soaring past the billion-dollar mark, families and friends across New Jersey are already making plans to grab at least one ticket.
As many are saying heading into the weekend: you’ve got to be in it to win it.

The next drawing is Saturday, and New Jersey is very much in the mix as this massive Powerball run continues.
