PSE&G officials are investigating the cause of a power outage that left more than 1,000 residents without electricity early Friday morning in the Delawanna section of Clifton.
According to preliminary information, the outage began shortly before 3:30 a.m., prompting a swift response from utility crews.
Upon arrival, PSE&G workers began assessing the affected area, working to identify the root cause of the disruption and to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

While electricity has since been restored to many of the impacted homes, the cause of the outage remains under active investigation.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or hazards related to the incident.
Residents are encouraged to report any lingering issues or safety concerns to PSE&G’s customer service line. Further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
