An investigation is underway into several drug overdoses that happened in the city's East Ward a short time ago.
First responders were called to the area of Ferry Street and Raymond Boulevard shortly before 12:30 p.m. where they found several unconscious individuals at that location.
EMS transported about eight people to area hospitals with symptoms consistent to overdoses from synthetic marijuana (K2).
Police are trying to determine where the drugs came from.
