Police Seeks Public's Assistance Identifying Newark Burglary Suspects

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects wanted in two separate burglaries.

According to authorities, at approximately 3:20 a.m., officers responded to Extra Wine & Liquor, located at 278 Orange Street, on a burglary call June 22nd.

Two male suspects broke into the store and stole cash.

The first suspect was last seen wearing a hooded gray sweatshirt, gray pants and a pink cap. The second suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark gray sweat pants. Both suspects are approximately 25 to 35 years old.

Police are also seeking the public’s assistance identifying a suspect in a hair salon burglary at 57 N. 9th Street.

In this incident, the suspect broke into the shop between 3 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017 stealing cash and inventory.

While police are actively searching for these suspects, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from our streets.

Both investigations are continuing.
