Police Seeks Help Locating Missing Newark Man Diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder UPDATE: Found Safe

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help with locating Jose M. Torres, 28, of Newark, who was reported missing on February 14.AdNewark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé stated that Torres, a Hispanic male diagnosed with Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder, was last seen at approximately 12:25 p.m., leaving his residence in the 100 block of Fairmount Avenue.

Officials said Torres is known to frequent Randy Food Market in the 200 block of South Orange Avenue.

According to officials, he is 5’3” inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, and has brown eyes, black hair, and a light complexion. He was wearing dark blue jeans, black boots, and a pink hoodie.
