Police Seek Woman for Questioning in June Shooting That Injured Two Newark Women

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., is asking for the public’s help in locating Destiny Craig, 26, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a double shooting that occurred last month.

The incident took place in the early morning hours of Friday, June 20, when officers were called to the 300 block of Leslie Street at approximately 12:18 a.m. following reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, police found two women suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to University Hospital with injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances of the shooting and believe Craig may have information critical to the case.
