Police Seek the Public’s Help Locating Missing Newark Man with Schizophrenia

Newark Police officials request the public’s help locating Michael Coleman, 49, of Newark, who has been reported missing.

Mr. Coleman, who is diagnosed with Schizophrenia, was last seen at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, in the 100 block of Ballantine Parkway, police said.

While detectives actively search for Mr. Coleman, they seek the public’s help in locating him quickly. 

According to police officials, he is described as 5’9” tall and 150 pounds, with a dark complexion, black hair, and brown eyes. 

He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve white shirt and dark pants.

Newark Police officials urge anyone with information about the whereabouts of Mr. Michael Coleman to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). 

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
