Authorities in Newark request the public’s help with locating Juwaan Austin, 25, of Newark, who was reported missing on January 16, 2024.
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé stated Austin was last seen wearing a blue sweater, blue sweatpants, and white sneakers, possibly Jordan’s.
Officials said he is described as a Black male, 6’1” and 180 pounds, with brown eyes, a short twist hairstyle, and a dark complexion.
Known to frequent the area of Frelinghuysen Avenue and Dayton Street, Austin drives a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu bearing New Jersey registration (C31RSF), authorities say.
Accoridng to officials, it was last spotted at approximately 9:33 a.m. on Washington Avenue and Cleveland Street in Belleville.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information on Austin’s whereabouts to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
