Police Seek the Public's Help in Identifying Robbery Suspects

Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred on Sunday, January 2.

According to Newark authorities, at approximately 9:20 p.m., two male victims in the area of Ferry Street and Prospect Street were approached by five males who assaulted them and attempted to snatch their belongings.

Officials say the suspects fled into a gray 4-door vehicle, heading northbound on Prospect Street.

Authorities say that one of the victims arrived at University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying these suspects as part of their investigation.

Authorities say suspect 1 is described as wearing light gray sweat pants, a gray hooded sweatshirt with a black stripe, black sneakers and a gray mask.

Suspect 2 is described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, white sneakers, a black baseball cap, and black face mask.

Suspect 3 is described as wearing a dark-colored bubble jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, black sneakers, and black face mask.

Suspect 4 is described as wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, faded red pants, black sneakers and a black face mask.
