Police Seek the Public's Help in Identifying Robbery, Shooting Suspect

Police in Newark seeks the public’s help in identifying a male wanted for questioning in a robbery and shooting that occurred on Sunday, September 1.

According to police, at approximately 6:40 a.m., a woman was robbed of cash and personal property at gunpoint by a male in the 100 block of Schofield Street.

Polices say a family member of the victim chased the suspect on foot. According to police, the suspect fired a shot at the family member, but no injuries were reported.

Authorities say police located property damage in the area as a result of the gunfire from the incident.

The suspect is described as 5’9” tall with a mini-afro and beard. He has brown skin and was wearing a red jacket and dark jeans.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying him as part of this investigation.
