Authorities in Newark request the public’s help with identifying the suspect, who stole a package from the front porch of a residence on March 2, 2024.
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said police responded to the theft incident, which was captured on surveillance video at approximately 6:19 a.m. in the 100 block of Ivy Street.
According to officials, the suspect, who fled eastbound on Ivy Street, is described as a Black male with a beard and mustache.
He was wearing a red jacket with black sleeves and dark blue ripped jeans, officials stated.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
