Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose requests the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred yesterday.
According to police, the suspects entered the victim's hotel room at the Tryp Hotel, located at 24 E. Park Street, and robbed him at gunpoint of his personal belongings, including cash, a cell phone, debit cards, clothing and sneakers.
The suspects fled in an early model silver Acura sedan that had no license plate in the front or rear of the vehicle.
Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about these suspects to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
