Police Seek the Public's Assistance with Identifying Robbery Suspect

The Newark Police are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the pictured individual wanted for questioning in connection to a robbery that took place on Wednesday, July 8.

According to police, the robbery occurred on the 100 block of 7th Avenue, Newark at a commercial establishment. The suspect entered the establishment and demanded money while threatening harm to an employee.

Reports describe the suspect as a male with a medium brown complexion, approximately 5’ 8” in height, dark hair, brown eyes, wearing a red/pink shirt with a graphic design on the front, blue jean shorts, dark-colored sneakers and a red hat that was worn backward.

Detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect.

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose urges anyone with information about the suspect to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695- 8477).

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
