Police Seek Newark Woman for Questioning in Connection to Aggravated Assault

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in locating Yolanda Brooks, 42, wanted for questioning in connection with an aggravated assault (pointing) incident that occurred on Thursday, March 9.

According to Newark Police, at approximately 4:37 p.m., a transportation van’s driver in the area of Plymouth Street and South Munn Avenue was cut off by a driver in a black Nissan.

Police say the driver of the Nissan exited along with a passenger with whom the transportation driver had a verbal altercation earlier.

The driver of the Nissan brandished a handgun, pointing it at the victim’s head, before returning to his vehicle along with the transportation van’s earlier passenger.

According to Police, the suspect was wearing a gray jacket and black jeans.

Detectives investigating this incident are seeking Yolanda Brooks for questioning.

She is described as 5’5” tall with brown hair and brown eyes.
