Police Seek Help Identifying Suspects Who Stole from Vehicle in Newark

Authorities in Newark request the public's help with identifying the suspects in connection with a theft from an automobile that occurred on Thursday, January 25.AdNewark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 4:10 p.m., a driver parked his vehicle at Green Street near Mulberry Street and entered an establishment.

When the driver returned at 4:30 p.m., officials stated that he noticed that his front passenger-side window was shattered.

Authorities say the victim's wallet, containing a driver's license, was stolen along with $300.00 in cash from the middle console.

Officials said the detectives investigating the incident are seeking the public's help in identifying the two suspects observed on area surveillance cameras breaking into the victim's vehicle and leaving with his cash and personal property.

Director Fragé urges anyone with information regarding the identity of either of the Division's suspects to call the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695- 8477).
