Police Seek Help Identifying Package Theft Suspect in Newark

Authorities in Newark request the public's help identifying the male suspect in connection with two package thefts that occurred on Saturday, April 6th, and Tuesday, April 9th, 2024.AdNewark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said a victim reported that a package was stolen from the same residence at Telford Street near Norwood Place on each date.

Officials stated the first package, from Bed Bath and Beyond, was valued at $70.00.

The second package, from Amazon, was valued at $120.00, officials say.

According to officials, detectives investigating this incident seek the public's help in quickly identifying the suspect.AdOfficials said he is described as an older Black man with a black and gray beard.

He was wearing glasses, a black jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray jeans, and a black hat, officials stated.

Director Fragé urges anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
