Police Seek Help Identifying Newark Car Theft Suspect

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with an auto theft that occurred May 14, 2017.

According to police, at approximately 7 p.m., a male victim reported that his car, parked at a business located at 175-192 McClellan Street, was stolen.

The victim had left his car at the business and when he returned to retrieve it, the vehicle was no longer there. The stolen vehicle was described as a white 2017 Honda CRV Wagon.

While police are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from city streets.

This investigation is ongoing.
