Police Seek East Orange Woman for Questioning in Connection to Newark Carjacking

Newark Public officials request the public’s help locating Annalessi Rhoden, 37, of East Orange, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a carjacking that occurred on Wednesday, September 14.

According to Newark Police, at approximately 8:15 p.m., officers responded to Woodside Place near Arlington Avenue on a call of a carjacking.

Police say, a food delivery driver had parked to make a delivery.

He called the customer who had placed the order but received no answer before two male suspects approached his vehicle.

According to officials, the first suspect opened the driver’s side door, pointed a handgun at the victim, and demanded his cash and car keys.

The victim gave the suspect his belonging and ran away.

Detectives say, the two suspects entered the vehicle and fled, heading east on Arlington Avenue.

Detectives investigating this incident are seeking Rhoden for questioning in this incident.

She is 5’7” tall and approximately 180 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
