A vehicle stripped of its wheels in the Forest Hill section of Newark is under investigation by the Newark Police Department.
Residents in the vicinity of Berkeley and Clifton avenues were called police when they observed a car on cinder blocks and stripped of its wheels that occurred during the overnight hours of Tuesday.
According to residents, the neighborhood has had its share of car burglaries and other vandalism, but incidents like this one are rare in the community that borders Branch Brook Park.
Police have not reported an arrest of a suspect at this time.
