Middlesex County authorities are looking into the motive for a shooting in Highland Park Friday night.
At approximately 8:07 p.m., police responded to reports of shots fired near 243 South 11th Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found shell casings and were informed that a vehicle occupied by a female driver and a male passenger fired rounds out of the car before fleeing the scene.
Police believe that the car is a white or light-colored minivan that fled southbound on South 11th Avenue, according to reports.
No severe injuries were immediately reported.
